Jack's Baptism

Well, Jack's first big foray into the Catholic faith was this past Sunday, May 2nd. While the day started out less than stellar, with meltdowns in the a.m. by both dad and Jack, the ceremony itself and the rest of the afternoon went really well.



Jack was VERY well-behaved during the ceremony even though it was 90 degrees outside and he had a very heavy christening gown on (made by his Grandma Wills with love :). He listened attentively and didn't even cry as the water was being poured on his head!

He was baptised with one other baby there but I think we all agreed that Jack was, hands-down, the cuter of the two. Perhaps I should have been paying more attention to the ceremony itself than making these observations but it is what it is.


His godparents did a great job as well and we are so happy that we chose Blake & Steph (and their families) as role models for Jack to turn to as he grows up.

After the ceremony we went back to the house for some food and fun! Despite the heat everyone seemed to have a good time, but I think by the end of the day everyone felt kind of crazed from the hubub - especially Jack :)
